YouTube is the largest video platform worldwide developed by Google in which we find millions of videos of all kinds at our disposal.
Many of us have not verified that within the whole scheme that YouTube offers its users we have a section dedicated to the little ones which has the name of YouTube Kids.
Google has designed the YouTube Kids application thinking about the youngest viewers of the home, and as such, YouTube Kids is a safer version of YouTube, with popular children's videos, as well as new and varied content, so that Children can use it simply and with a pleasant visual environment.
Now, Google has included several improvements in this application within which we have multiple profiles, better parental controls and a new personalized experience that takes into account the real ages of your individual children. Here you have his statement.

How to customize YouTube Kids for our children
YouTube will launch a new version of YouTube Kids in which several features that many parents have requested over time are added. The new options will appear when we, as parents or guardians, sign in to YouTube Kids with our Google account and from there it will be possible to customize YouTube Kids.
The new configuration process is designed to give us much more accurate information about the application, which allows us to make informed decisions before children have access to the application. After that, we can create profiles for all our children or nephews, essentially customizing YouTube Kids for each child.
These profiles work on all devices and even take into account the age of each child. Younger children will see less text than older children by diversifying the search. Each child can also create a secret code needed to access their profile, although parents can logically cancel it to prevent access to unwanted material.
YouTube Kids profiles are available in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, United States and Zimbabwe.
Profile Settings
During the process of creating the profile we will have the possibility to activate or not the search, these options are:
Search activated
With this option, children can access millions of videos from the YouTube Kids platform beyond those available.
Search Off
When using this option we limit the little ones to only watch the videos that are displayed on the main screen.
Once we create the profile we will see the following message:
We can access the profile settings by clicking on the lock and enter the automatic password, or generate your own:
Once we enter the password these are the available options for use:
By clicking on Settings it will be possible to do the following:
- Add a new profile.
- Use the application without an associated account.
- Set audio values.
- Set the search controls.
- Limit the use of mobile data.
- Set subtitles.
- Set age ranges.
- Create passwords
