Phishing and its daily threat

{title}

Although we may consider ourselves lucky or lucky, the above cases are nothing more than attempts to violate our privacy and blatantly steal our money and our identity, this is what is known as Phishing malicious attacks where the perpetrator pretends to be someone more to try to inspire "trust" and thus take away money, data, or force us to install a program with which we can infect our device.
These types of threats are almost as old as the Internet and although many will say they do not fall into those traps, the sad reality is that millions of people around the world do, and even we ourselves may have fallen without realizing it.

New ways

Obviously the above describes very old Phishing attacks, they may still be used but they don't really pose much danger if we are educated in the subject. The new threat is personalized phishing, it is an attack aimed at a particular company, where the attacker pretends to be a client, supplier or bank.
The name with which this new type of attack is known is Spear Phishing is a term that means what we are indicating, a spear attack on a single dam, with that the attacker has more opportunity to prepare something more realistic, with more details careful and that the attacked may think that it is something real.

The objectives of the attack

The objectives of Spear Phishing are varied, it can be infecting computers to introduce a Trojan into the organization, or perhaps obtaining a particular piece of social engineering, such as name of suppliers or names of clients, or also obtaining payments of the company in question, and scam money.
As we see the spectrum is very wide, so the risk is quite large, since we cannot establish a defined pattern as in the cases we described at the beginning of the article. It is here where the greatest threat of Phishing resides.
What can we do?

Unfortunately, the advancement of technology gives the attacker many more tools to try to violate our privacy, but what we can really do is educate ourselves, and educate our environment, it is not a technological issue, but some common sense. It is amazing the ways in which people can be deceived, that is why we must know the procedures of our banks, we must understand that if something is very good to be true, it is because it is not true, and thus an infinite number of things that We can use from the didactic point of view. Let's not forget to understand the security of information.
